Greek Cypriot artist scoops art award
In London’s Chelsea on 22nd July, Marina Emphietzi’s Flying Low was the judges’ choice for the best artwork to represent “Energy” the theme of the Summer Exhibition at The Gallery at Green & Stone.
More than 750 artworks were submitted for the exhibition on Abstract landscapes so this was a fantastic achievement. Marina was understandably delighted: “I am thrilled and honored to have been chosen from such a diverse and wonderful exhibition featuring so many superb Abstract landscapes and modern artists. Much of my work is inspired by the sea in Famagusta Cyprus, the home we lost through war. The sea exudes energy and power.”
